The sun rises keep coming...

I have spent some time in this new year working to organize all the ideas I have in my mind to write about. I have been creating lists of topics and others lists about various aspects of each topic. I have never really considered myself a writer. In all the days of my life thus far, my writing has been on a topic or subject that has been assigned. So, I thought developing lists related to my blog and my ideas to write about might help inspire me.

I have spent the last 2 weeks working many hours at my new job. The days and hours have also been filled with the final tasks relating to my move to a new house. Developing my lists for my blog writing has been snuck into the schedule in little stolen moments.

I plan for my writing to become much more regular. It has just been difficult to fit in moments to write anything of substance during these busy days. But, I did want to let any readers out there know what I am up to.

One thing that has been a joy and blessing during these days has been my view of the river. By "river" here, I mean the actual river just feet outside my home. There have been clouds, sun, rain, snow, and beautiful moonrises. Tonight, the wind is howling as we prepare for the possibility of real winter weather.

I can name another blessing. It is a blessing that so far I can say I have truly enjoyed all but one day at my new job. It provides great variety in assignments, both in the students I work with and the content I get to "teach". I walk in faith that this sense of blessing and joy will continue going forward.

For you, my readers, I pray that God would help you identify your own blessings and joys as we reach mid-January 2020. Let your hearts lift Thanksgiving and gratitude for them. Let these days be shaped by this perspective of your lives.

  1. Thanks for sharing your struggle with time to write and topics. I like the list idea. I have committed myself to two posts a week, Tuesday and Friday and with everything else it feels like enough. This past week instead of posting Tuesday morning it was late Tuesday night and Friday's post might be the same. But it helps to have a plan and I second that you too are fitting this in with work and family and so much newness. May God's grace be with you and go before you.
